Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and share your personal information.
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Kamloops Asbestos Removal ("we", "us") is an independent referral service that connects people who need asbestos testing, removal or abatement with independent, licensed local contractors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it. We aim to follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
When you submit our quote form, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The property address or area
- Details about the job, such as property type, the service you need, whether the building was built before 1990, and your description of the work
- Basic details of phone calls to our number, such as the date, time, length and the number you called from.
Why we collect it
We use your information to respond to your request and connect you with a licensed local contractor who can contact you about it. We also keep basic records of requests and calls to run the service, including tracking how many requests are referred to each contractor.
Who we share it with
With your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on our form or by asking us on the phone to connect you, we share your contact details and job information with an independent, licensed local contractor so they can contact you about your request. That contractor handles your information under its own privacy policy.
We also use service providers to operate the website, receive form submissions and handle phone calls, such as our web host, form-processing service and phone provider. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for our business records, then delete or securely destroy it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to further sharing at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing consent doesn't undo information already passed to a contractor, but we'll tell you who received it so you can contact them directly.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can access it and using reputable service providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Website analytics and cookies
This website does not use advertising cookies. If we add basic analytics in the future, we'll update this policy.
